Stress Free Zone!

Weaning calves from their mothers can be stressful for both calf and cow. After some research we decided on a product that is a temporary nose flap that prevents the calf from being able to nurse but they can eat freely from the ground or bunk. This temporary solution allows the calf to remain with mom while they learn to eat only forages which keeps everybody calm and stress free. Once the calf is done nursing it is ready for independent living. Now the mom’s can use all her energy to prepare for the birth of this year’s baby!
